Accessibility features
Our aim is to achieve and where possible exceed the provisions of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, with a target level of AA. We've taken the following steps to make the site accessible:
- The site is produced using valid, semantic XHTML and CSS, to ensure that it is usable regardless of access technology.
- All forms have been constructed to provide accessible labels and error messages.
- We have employed a single skip link at the top of every page to enable users to move past common navigation elements, straight to the main page content.
- All links on the site have visual cues for mouse and keyboard users.
- All text on the site can be resized within reasonable limits without breaking the site's layout.
- All images have appropriate alternative text.
- Every page features headings, providing semantic structure and making the site more accessible to screenreaders.
